How Much Money Can a New Furnace Save You?
Our AFUE energy savings calculator can help determine how much you could save on your utility bills. Simply enter your current unit's AFUE value and compare it to a newer, more efficient system. You can even customize it to better match your home's system for a more accurate calculation.
Don’t get left in the cold! Is your furnace acting up, blowing cold air, or making too much noise? Our experienced team of professionals is here to keep your home warm and cozy. We repair all makes and models, and we will never try to sell you a service that you don’t need. Our technicians are honest and hard working, and we’re always transparent and fair about the work we do.
Sometimes a repair is not sufficient to fix your furnace. Sometimes a new furnace is the most cost-effective and energy-efficient way to go. We will always be honest with you about a possible furnace replacement. We value our time and your money––we don’t want to perform repairs or service on an appliance that is in need of replacement.
If you do need a furnace replacement, we know how overwhelming it can be. Here are some of the frequently asked questions about furnaces that we get from some of our Salem, OR residents:
What Are The Different Types Of Furnaces?
Single Stage: A single-stage furnace has only one stage of operation. It can either be turned on or turned off.
Two Stage: A two-stage furnace has two settings––full and half speed. This is a more efficient way to heat and provides for better comfort, because it can move the air at a slower pace.
Variable Stage or Modulating: A variable-stage or modulating furnace modulates the speed and heat output based on the temperature outside and the desired comfort level. This furnace only works as much as you need it, making this type the most energy-efficient type of furnace.
What Is AFUE?
AFUE, or Annualized Fuel Utilization Efficiency, is a measure of furnace-heating efficiency. The higher the AFUE, the more efficient the furnace.
What Size Furnace Do I Need?
We can calculate the correct size furnace for your home. The number of BTUs, or British Thermal Units, needed to heat your home is dependent on a number of variables. Contrary to what you might think, a bigger furnace may not necessarily mean more heating power for your home. Call us at Gagle's Heating, and we can set up an appointment to calculate the furnace size you might need.

“3 young, polite gentlemen came to our home to install a new furnace. They were knowledgeable, quite and friendly.
They picked up and took away all boxes and old furnace. Our garage was spotless
when they left.
Our furnace and air conditioner now run without a problem.”

“Gagles was AMAZING from start to finish. First, the salesperson was incredibly knowledgeable as well as polite and customer focused. He did not try to "oversell" us. He seemed genuinely interested in getting us the best heater for our lifestyle and nearly 100 year old home. Gagles price was VERY competitive. The crew that installed the heater were also excellent. They introduced themselves, shook our hands, were incredibly polite and very respectful of our home. They installed a new thermometer and made sure we had the app downloaded correctly and that we could comfortably use it before they left. The icing on the cake is that the owner of Gagles came to our home to inspect the installation and review the level of service we received! This is one of the most positive experiences we have had in home repair and remodeling. I would recommend Gagles to anyone!!!”

“Our furnace went out a week before Christmas – really a bummer!! Anyway we had a service call the very day we called and he gave us an estimate for a new furnace, air conditioning and water heater since the furnace could not be fixed. I can’t remember his name since my husband, Larry was the one who talked to him but he was wonderful. The two guys who did the installation, etc., (Danial and Aaron) were great to have here. We had some problems and they fixed them right up. I want to thank all three of these people for the great service they provided. They were equally cordial and nice to talk to so I’d say you have a great group of employees. I hope you appreciate them because we do! Happy New Year!”

“Gagle's Heating checked my 50-year-old gas furnace as a maintenance service call.
Mac was on time, polite, answered my questions and showed me, when asked, inside the furnace how it works and what he checked. He also vacuumed the main soot inside. He didn't try to sell me a new furnace either. He said that this old type furnace runs for years like a Sherman tank. I was pleased with his honesty since this is what I was told last year by a different company.
The price was fair at $99. I would hire them on a yearly basis and will recommend them to others for this type of job.”
